JOEY Eng was confident that she could finish a huge plate of crusted chicken and fries all by herself as she sat down for dinner with her peers at Who’s Bryan at the All Seasons Place in Bandar Baru Air Itam, Penang.
The 11-year-old girl was one of 16 lucky children from the Ru Yi Home who was treated to dinner at the restaurant and an unforgettable Chinese New Year shopping experience at the newly opened F.O.S (Factory Outlet Store) courtesy of Belleview Group’s All Seasons Place Reunion Dinner with the home.
“I feel so happy and grateful for this. I can’t wait for the new year to start,” she said at the recent event, adding that she has been at the home since 2013 along with her elder brother.
Meanwhile, her close friend Ong Min Hui, 12, who chose the same apparel as her, said the reason for this was because they wanted to have matching outfits for a dance number that they were going to do.

“Today’s outing has really made our day,” the bubbly lass said.

Home administrator Ong Lay Keow said most of the children at the home have single parents.

“They will usually go back to their families during Chinese New Year and the school holidays.

“However, we always encourage their families to visit the children at least once a month.”

Belleview Group marketing and leasing manager Eddy Wong said the children were given the freedom to choose a top and one bottom) of their liking as well as their own dinner.

“This is our way of giving back to the society and the children and our way of spreading the chinese new year cheer,” he said.

The outing also witnessed the children participating in the tossing of the lou sang and meeting the God of Prosperity.

Also present was The Star’s senior advertisement representative Wong Mei Choo, F.O.S Apparel Group Sdn Bhd branding and communications manager Nicholas Lo, and Belleview retail and commercial assistant manager Eunice Ong.
