Mall reigns as largest in Kedah

ALOR SETAR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah graced the grand opening of Aman Central, touted as the biggest shopping mall in Kedah.

Belleview Group managing director Datuk Sonny Ho said Aman Central is an exciting synergy that would forever change the retail landscape of Kedah and the northern region.

“We have a vision to fill the void of an exciting retail space in Kedah. We have come a long way to bring that vision to reality.

“Since its successful soft opening on Oct 1 last year, we have recorded an average of one million shoppers per month.

“We are proud to announce that the number has been steadily growing,” Ho said in his speech at the mall’s grand opening ceremony yesterday.

Ho also announced that the mall was awarded the Highly Commended Asia Pacific Property Award for the Retail Development Malaysia category, in the International Property Awards 2015/2016.

“To date, the mall has achieved 95% occupancy. Its growth and future possibilities as well as our support for local traders have created an additional 5,000 job opportunities for Kedahans,” Ho added.

He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to Tuanku Abdul Halim and the Kedah royal family for their presence.
